International Baccalaureate (IB)

If you are, The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme might well be the right way for you. This programme is a great door opener to the world and to an international career.

The International Baccalaureate is an international study programme with more than 900,000 students in over 140 countries. If you are interested in an international education with a great base for studying at university level around the world, the IB programme is something for you.

Your first academic year with us will provide you with a sound basis for the two-year programme. Rudbecksskolan offers a modified syllabus (Pre-DP) based on courses within the Swedish Upper Secondary School. You will study several subjects together and then choose natural science or social science subjects depending on your future plans. You will be given grades according to the Swedish system. The language of instruction is English.

The following two years will be your IB studies. You will study six subjects selected from six subject groups.

However, learning is more than academic studies alone. CAS, one of the requirements, makes the IB unique. CAS (Creativity, Action & Service) gives you the opportunity to experience life outside school. It involves creative activity, participation in sports and social work or community service.
