Rudbecksskolan is a co-educational upper secondary school (16—19 year olds) with about 650 students and 74 staff. We have a natural science programme specialising in natural science, environmental science, computer science, social planning and biotechnics, a social programme specialising in social science, social planning and economics and a natural science programme with an emphasis on sports studies.
English is used as a language for teaching (Content and Language Integrated Learning, CLIL.) in several of the classes studying the natural and social sciences. Approximately 270 students are taught by 20 teachers from Sweden and English speaking countries. For more details of what CLIL is see: CLIL
Each programme has its own council “programråd" where the programme´s director of studies (rektor) and a student representative from each class discuss questions of educational interest.
Extra-curricular activities are an important part of school life and are fully encouraged. The more important ones are the students´ council, where students can make their voices heard, and Stjärnparaden which is responsible for plays, songs and music.

The surrounding countryside is very varied: fields, woods, farmland, rivers, lakes, hills making hiking, camping, canoeing etc. possible in summer and slalom and cross-country skiing possible in winter. Örebro is a beautiful town with a lot to offer. Project work can involve the study of the varied nature around the town together with much more.
