Our job is to offer all refugees and immigrants who are new to Örebro and who have a residence permit and are registered in Örebro´s population register, an individual programme of introduction into Swedish society.
The aim is to learn Swedish, to create possibilities on the job market, to become independent and to participate in Swedish society.
Together with the newly arrived person, the introduction secretary and study and careers counsellor, set up an individual introduction plan for the future. This plan is based on previous schooling, life experience and other individual qualifications.
The aim is to conclude this introduction period within two years, although it can be extended, keeping the individual´s own needs in mind. However, this period has a maximum time of 3.5 years. The introduction plan is followed up regularly during the introduction period and is supplemented according to the individual´s needs and conditions.
