The availability of land for business premises is good. The local authority can offer plots in attractive positions for commerce, manufacturing, logistics, etc.
There are three extensive areas for development, with plots of 50,000-150,000m2 close to the motorways and an airport.

Available premises - office, industry, shops

The local authority owns an extensive portfolio of properties for offices, industries and commerce. Retailers can choose from good locations in the city centre and outlying Marieberg and Boglundsängen areas. For industry and logistics there are facilities at the intersection of the E18 and E20 European highways, one of Sweden´s most attractive logistics sites close to Sweden´s fourth largest air freight terminal and with plans for a rail freight link. Development of future areas for industries

The region plans to develop future areas for industry adjacent to the E18 and E20 European highways. For logistics, the next stage of expansion will be to the west of Örebro along the E18 towards the airport. Further development is planned west of the E20 close to the Marieberg retail park, and east adjacent to the E18/E20.

Major future developments of infrastructure

A road link planned to run between road 51 and the E20 will improve traffic flow in and around Örebro significantly. A bridge over the railway that runs through the centre of Örebro is also planned and this will further facilitate communications between road 51 and the E18 and E20 European highways.
